Two women kayakers, ages 39 and 36, were separated from their kayaks by large waves. They were able to swim to the 1/2 mile channel buoy outside of Oceanside Harbor where they were rescued by Coast Guard reservists. Both were suffering from moderate to severe hypothermia.
