On Monday, October 1st, 2 men were tossed from their 22-foot-long boat, just south of Jones Inlet in Nassau County, due to rough seas which were generated by a departing coastal storm. Waves were around 5 feet, and tossed the 2 men from their boat around 1 PM EDT. The Coast Guard found the two men approximately 20 minutes later, who were laying unconscious in the water. They were later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
