The wider storm

A wind gust capsized a canoe with three teenagers aboard on Crawford Pond at approximately 1230 pm. One of the teenagers drowned as a result of the incident. Wind gusts were measured at 37 mph at Portland and 29 mph at Rockland at about the time of the incident.
