Warm moist air assocated with low over the eastern Gulf of Alaska overrunning cold trapped in northern Lynn Canal produced moderate to heavy snow. Snowfall amounts at the Haines Customs station was 10.8" overnight and Skagway reported an estimated 9", and the Skagway Customs station reported 8".
