Flash flooding occurred in parts of Maumelle, Morgan, and Marche. Arkansas 365 was flooded and at least one water rescue was necessary. Flooding in Maumelle entered some townhouses and apartments. A rain gauge in Maumelle measured 1.97 inches of rain between 1:45 and 2:45 PM CDT, and a total of 3.28 inches from 12:30 PM to 4:14 PM CDT.

Wider weather episode

A nearly stationary front in Arkansas touched off thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening of the 17th. On the 18th, some storms occurred during the morning, followed by another round of storms from the afternoon into the evening. A few severe storms occurred, along with isolated flash flooding.
