Wind gusts estimated near 90 mph caused considerable damage at the North Shore Marina, a 105 slip marina on the Mississppi River. Numerous boat docks were destroyed by the wind, with some ripped out of the water and deposited on shore. Some cars were crushed under debris and aluminum siding was peeled back on buildings. About 75 percent of the $2 million marina was destroyed.
