Generally, moderate to severe drought conditions continued over much of southeast Georgia. Rainfall for the month was above normal at the Savannah Airport, but most of the rain fell on a few days in scattered thunderstorms. Therefore, the area remained well below the normal on rainfall for the first half of the year.
