A spotter reported multiple power poles down, along with power outages.

Wider weather episode

An unusually strong upper level low that originated from the Gulf of Alaska, moved across northwest Washington on the evening of July 23 into south-central Alberta Canada by the evening of July 24. A mid-level wave tracked north-northeast across eastern Washington State on the afternoon of July 23 helping to initiate several severe thunderstorms. These storms brought wind damage that extended into northwest Montana. A few discrete strong thunderstorms developing over southwest Montana producing large hail near Butte.
