Event narrative
Tornado damaged at least 23 homes with some homes losing much of their roofs. Widespread uprooted and snapped trees within this heavily wooded neighborhood. Some large trees landing on homes. A few roofs had been pierced by 2-by-4s. Estimated winds up to 120 mph.
Wider weather episode
A Quasi-linear convective system with a cyclonic rotating comma head on the north end produced numerous tornadoes and damaging straight line winds. Governor Walker declared a State of Emergency for Green and Dane counties due to the extensive damage from severe thunderstorms and tornadoes that occurred from June 16-18.
