Wider weather episode

The area was put under a Coastal Flood Warning as Hurricane Lili was threatening the Louisiana coast. The coastal areas from Pensacola Beach to Navarre Beach to Holiday Isle saw above normal tides and high winds. Minor beach erosion occurred on Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach. The road that runs along the Beach again had to be closed because of high water washing across the road. Compared to Isidore (only a week earlier), Lili did very little damage to the Northwest Florida Coast. It did slow down the ongoing cleanup and again put sand into areas that had been cleaned up from Isidore.
