Severe thunderstorms brought strong winds but little rain to portions of Northern and Central Utah. Tree and shingle damage were the rule across the Wasatch Front and West Central deserts. Wind gusts from 60 to 75 mph (52 to 65 kts) were common with the storms, with a peak gust of 85 mph (74 kts) reported at Vernon Hill.
