A severe thunderstorm produced wind damage along the coast of Atlantic City. A large billboard was damaged and debris fell onto the deck of the central pier. Lifeguard stands and boats were damaged or destroyed from being tossed and rolled by the wind. The Atlantic City Beach Patrol's anemometer recorded a peak wind gust of 56 knots (64 mph).
