A cold front passage brought about a sudden burst of high winds in Ellensburg. Prior to front passage at 3:53 AM, Ellensburg ASOS reported a south wind at 6 MPH. At 4:24 AM, a northwest wind of 47 MPH with a gust to 60 MPH was recorded.
