The Cedar Fire, which began on October 25, was not fully contained until November 16. During the first few days of November, the fire injured another 23 fire fighters, consumed another 4445 acres, and destroyed another: 39 residential, commercial, and/or industrial buildings; 4 accessory buildings; and 54 vehicles, travel trailers, boats, and/or tractors. These figures are in addition to the October 2003 Storm Data on the Cedar Fire. This fire became the largest in recorded history of the state of California with a total of 280,278 acres consumed. The total property damage was an estimated $1.06 billion, the total confirmed fire related fatalities 14, the total number of injuries 113, and the total cost of fighting the fire $30,159,235.
