Runoff from heavy rainfall ran over 6 inches deep across the intersection of Colorado Highway 184 and County Road 40.

Wider weather episode

Southwest flow around the subtropical high over the plains continued to supply subtropical moisture for heavy rain producing thunderstorms over western Colorado. Some of these storms produced localized flash flooding.
