A spotter for the International Centre for Waterspout Research observed and photographed a brief waterspout just offshore from St. Joseph.
The wider storm
Unseasonably cold air moving across the Great Lakes resulted in the formation of lake effect showers, a few of which produced waterspouts. One was sighted offshore from St. Joseph, MI.
