Event narrative

The Times Georgian newspaper of Carrollton reported that 40 roads around the county had been washed out by flooding, although on five of these the damage was only minor. Several bridges that cross the Little Tallapoosa River in the Tyus area were washed out. The Carroll county 911 center and the county Emergency Management Director corroborated the flooding reports.
