Event narrative

The Haralson county Sheriff reported that numerous roads were flooded, impassable, and closed. In addition, several creeks were flowing out of their banks, including Beech Creek near Waco. The Haralson county Emergency Management Director later reported that up to 62 roads in the county received damage from the flooding, eight of which were washed out and impassable pending major repairs. One home was totally destroyed when a large tree fell through the house as the result of flood waters washing away the roots. In addition, an earthen dam on a small lake in a subdivision was on the verge of being breached and threatening homes in the area
