Public reported a 42 mph marine thunderstorm wind gust.

A warm front lifted slowly north through eastern North Carolina during the afternoon and evening of April 29th, 2014. Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed along and south of the warm front during the evening hours. Some of these storms became severe producing strong winds. A cold front approached eastern North Carolina from the west during the afternoon of April 30th, 2014. A band of showers and thunderstorms crossed the region during the afternoon hours. A few of the storms became severe producing strong winds.
