Minnesott Golf and Country Club reported golf ball sized hail.

A warm and unstable airmass was present across Eastern North Carolina ahead of an approaching cold front from the northwest. Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed during the afternoon and evening hours of July 28th, 2014. Several storms became severe producing strong winds and very large hail.
