Event narrative

Thunderstorms dumped two to four inches of rain on portions of Trumbull County during the afternoon hours. The most severe flooding occurred in Warren, Howland, Braceville and Brookfield Townships with many evacuations reported. 2.71 inches of rain fell in Southington by 2 p.m with 4.61 inches of rain in Brookfield by 3 p.m. A 10 year boy drowned on the northeast side of Warren around 2 p.m. when he was sucked into a culvert and became trapped.
