An unseasonably cold storm system dumped a thick blanket of snow across the higher elevations of Northern Utah, catching some campers in the High Uintas by surprise. Some of the snow amounts included 6-10 inches in the High Uintas above 7000 feet, 6 inches at Alta and Brighton, and 3 inches at Solitude.
