A law enforcement office reported mostly 1 hail but a few were up to half-dollar size. The hail accumulated up to 12 inches in places.

Wider weather episode

A supercell thunderstorm developed across the Camas Prairie and peaked in intensity over western Clearwater County between Greer and Weippe. The storm unleashed severe winds and half-dollar hail causing close to a million dollars in property and crop damage. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) designated Clearwater County as a primary natural disaster area due to this wind and hail event on Sep. 3.
