An oil rig worker estimated winds of around 40 MPH during a passing storm on a platform in West Cameron Block 368.

An upper level disturbance along with deep tropical moisture allowed scattered to numerous thunderstorms across the coastal waters for two days. Many high wind gusts over the coastal waters were recorded during this time.
