Thunderstorms crossing Lake Michigan produced strong wind gusts. The Muskegon coastal observation station reported a wind gust to 41 knots and the Muskegon airport reported a wind gust to 35 knots. Wind gusts of 35 to 45 knots were likely over the open waters of Lake Michigan.
