In Molalla lightning struck an old-growth Douglas Fir tree, 16 feet in circumference, which was severely damaged and had to be cut down. In Yamhill lightning cracked a 100 foot Cedar tree. Lightning struck a house in McMinnville, burning a hole in the roof and damaging several electrical components including an electric piano, a stereo and a dishwasher.
