Hail with an average diameter of one inch fell along United States Highway Route 6, north of Helper. The hail accumulated to a depth of 4 inches, requiring the road to be plowed.

Severe thunderstorms continued to be a threat in northern Utah heading into the end of August, with multiple storms producing strong winds and large hail.
