Event narrative
A 19 year old man and a 19-year-old women were driving in a vehicle that was swept off a small bridge over Lack Creek. Both were found drowned, their car about three quarters of a mile down stream. About 3.12 inches of rain fell nearby, measured by a RAWS station at Shingletown over 24 hours. Of that, 2.87 inches of rain fell in the 5 hours before the accident.

Thunderstorms developed in the afternoon bringing locally heavy rain, and hail. There were also strong, gusty winds at times.
