Event narrative

Heavy rain over the Seeley burn scar caused flooding in Hughes Canyon and near Electric Lake in Upper Huntington Canyon. Flooding was reported in the lower portion of Huntington Canyon as well, with mud and rocks covering the road near the Huntington Plant.

Wider weather episode

Deep monsoonal moisture returned to Utah yet again for the last week of August, with several locations experiencing flash flooding and urban flooding from strong thunderstorms.
