Severe thunderstorms that formed during the afternoon and passed through northeast Wisconsin produced large hail and strong winds as they moved over the nearshore waters of Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay. The storms damaged trees at Whitefish Dunes State Park and dropped quarter size hail at Algoma. A wind gust to 48 knots was measured at Sister Bay and a gust to 37 knots was recorded at the Green Bay harbor entrance light.
