The gust front from a thunderstorm caused a sailboat to capsize on the Delaware River off Battery Park east of New Castle. Three occupants on board were not injured.
The wider storm
The combination of a cold frontal passage and an unseasonably hot and humid air mass generated a series of strong thunderstorms that moved through the area waters during the afternoon and evening of the 6th.
