A cold front moved across Grant County Sunday afternoon October 17. Winds to 60 mph caused considerable damage. A hay storage building 2 miles east of Soap Lake was destroyed along with extensive damage to a wheel irrigation system. At the same time heavy rain occurred in Ephrata resulting in areas of ponding water and local power outages.
