What the National Weather Service wrote

A fire blackened about 400 acres of grass and scrub brush in the leeward section of the Big Island of Hawaii. The blaze was located near Kaupulehu, 2 miles upslope from Queen Kaahumanu Highway. The fire caused minor burns to two firemen and destroyed $200 worth of PVC irrigation pipe.
