A brush fire scorched about 220 acres of the Honouliuli Forest Reserve in west Oahu, 3 miles north/northwest of Waipahu near the Hawaii Country Club. The blaze had threatened rare native plants in the area. However, there was no significant damage to the vegetation, and no serious injuries or property damage. The cause of the fire was unknown.
