Heavy Snow — Eastern Columbia River Gorge, Washington
2014-11-13 to 2014-11-14 · Eastern Columbia River Gorge, Washington
Wider weather episode
A warm front from the south collided with a cold arctic air mass from the north. Significant moisture was transported across most of Oregon and the very southern portion of Washington. High snow to liquid ratios allowed for 15 inches of snow to fall ENE of White Salmon and 4 inches SE of BZ Corner. Most of Southern WA was missed by the storm due to the quicker intrusion of the dry arctic air.
