A weather front moving north over the west coast of Alaska produced strong winds over the Bering Strait Coast and Saint Lawrence Island, as well as heavy snow over a portion of the Lower Kobuk Valley.

Zone 208: Snowfall of 6 to 12 inches occurred at Kiana, as estimated by the city office. It is likely the actual amount is closer to 6 inches as the wind was gusting 25 to 30 mph during this time which resulted in drifting of the snow.

Zone 213: High winds reported at:

Wales AWOS: highest gust 56 kt (64 mph).

Savoonga AWOS: highest gust 54 kt (62 mph).

Gambell AWOS: highest gust 52 kt (60 mph).
