A gust of 45 mph was measured by a mesonet observation at Look Rock 8 miles south of Maryville.

Wider weather episode

A strong front tracked across east Tennessee during the morning hours. Most the damage was across higher elevations where numerous tress were downed. Flooding was also seen.
