The public reported a measured 48 mph wind gust 5 miles north-northeast of Buladean near Roan Mountain.

Wider weather episode

A strong front tracked across east Tennessee during the morning hours. Most the damage was across higher elevations where numerous tress were downed. Flooding was also seen.
