A wind gust of 48 mph was measured at a mesonet 1 mile south southwest west of Citico at the Tellico RAWS site.

Wider weather episode

A strong front tracked across east Tennessee during the morning hours. Most the damage was across higher elevations where numerous tress were downed. Flooding was also seen.
