Shemya / Eareckson AS reported 3 to 4 hours of warning-level high wind gusts then saw occasional gusts reaching 55 to 65 knots for another 9 hours. Peak winds were recorded at 84 knots.

Wider weather episode

A rapidly intensifying extratropical low originating from Super Typhoon Nuri moved over the Western Aleutian Islands on November 7 creating high winds measured up to 84 knots / 97 miles per hour on land at PASY.

The low reached a measured pressure of 929.8 mb from buoy 46070 on 11/8/13 at 2z. Surface estimated pressure from NCEP analyzed the storm to 924 mb on 11/8/14 at 6z.
