A 34 knot wind gust was observed at the Molasses Reef Light C-Man station in association with a passing thunderstorm.
Wider weather episode
Weakening thunderstorms were streaming northward towards the Upper Keys. Before dissipating completely, these storms created outflow boundaries which resulted in gale force wind gusts being observed at Molasses Reef Light.
