Strong Santa Ana winds impacted the coastal waters just off the Santa Monica Mountains. The north to northeast winds blew a kayaker 600 yards offshore. The kayaker was rescued by the fire department.

Strong and gusty Santa Ana winds impacted the coastal waters off the coast of Ventura county. In one incident, a 15 foot boat was capsized by the strong northeasterly winds. In another incident, a kayaker was blown about 600 yards offshore by the winds.
