Event narrative

The Oregon Department of Transportation suggested that heavy rain was responsible for a small landslide that occurred near Corbett, Oregon. Official NWS stations reported between 0.5 to 3 inches of rain in Multnomah County in the afternoon and evening. The landslide closed both lanes of the Historic Columbia River Highway just east of the Vista House for a few hours Wednesday evening.

A slow moving front resulted in heavy rain across the region. The rain resulted in a small land slide in Corbett, Oregon which briefly closed both lanes of the historic Columbia Highway.
