Event narrative

Light freezing rain caused traffic accidents and road closures throughout the county, including portions of Interstates 80 and 99. There were no serious injuries.

Wider weather episode

Light freezing rain and road icing resulted in very hazardous travel across the Central Mountains during the afternoon and evening. The quick glaze of ice on roads caused several vehicle accidents and closed multiple roads. Interstate 80 in Centre and Clinton Counties was closed in both directions at multiple locations. One of the incidents included a double fatality.
