The driver of a vehicle was killed when he slid into the path of an oncoming freight train north of Fountain City. The accident occurred on slippery roads created by the heavy, wet snow that was falling.

A man was killed when his truck slid into the path of a freight train while snow was falling across western Wisconsin. According to official reports, heavy, wet snow was falling as the driver approached a rail crossing north of Fountain City (Buffalo County). He was unable to stop when the crossing arm closed and slid into the path of the train.
