Event narrative
Nearly five inches of rain in three hours flooded city streets, washed out county roads and damaged bridges. Flash flooding along the Okapilco Creek in Moultrie damaged several homes and forced the evacuation of 100 homes and businesses. Seven units of Woodland Heights in Moultrie were evacuated due to rising flood waters. Reported by the Colquitt County EMA.
