A line of strong to severe thunderstorms moved quickly east across Lake Erie during the afternoon of the 26th. A ship on Lake Erie 11 miles north of Fairport Harbor measured sustained 55 knot thunderstorm winds with a peak gust of 100 knots at 4:15 pm EDT.
