Strong thunderstorms moved over the western basin of Lake Erie during the early afternoon hours of the 10th. The thunderstorms tracked east-southeast over the lake and moved towards the southern shore of Lake Erie. Winds were estimated to be at least 35 knots as they passed, and a lighthouse measured a wind gust of 47 knots.
