A line of strong thunderstorms moved over Lake Erie during the evening hours of the 22nd. The line extended nearly the entire length of the lake and moved southeast towards the southern shoreline. Winds were estimated to be at least 35 knots as the storms moved over the southern part of the lake. A 48 knot gust was measured at the Coast Guard station in Fairport Harbor.
