A strong weather disturbance produced some heavy snow amounts over portions of southern Colorado. Isolated heavy amounts of 6 to 9 inches occurred around Cripple Creek and Woodland Park in Teller County...the Colorado Springs area in El Paso County...and Rye in Pueblo County. An isolated amount of 13 inches occurred at Monument in northern El Paso County. Widespread heavy snow amounts occurred in the La Garita and eastern San Juan Mountains...and Sawatch Range in central Colorado. Fourteen inches of snow covered Leadville in Lake County and at the summit of Wolf Creek Pass in Mineral County. Climax...in northeast Lake County...logged 17 inches of snow.
